Dubbadi satte Pooja & Vidhi


Dubbadi is celebrated on 7thday after Bhadarpad Mass Amavasya. This ritual is performed with 16 knots threads which can be obtained from priests (pandtanis) or make it at home.

THREAD MAKING:-

Threads can be made with white/yellow thread roll.
Incase Atti (Raw Cotton Thread / Sut) is used then use turmeric for yellow color.
Take 16 different lines of thread and tie 16 knots after joining them.
Don’t changes the count of Knots & Threads
Repeat the process as you will need 2 set of threads

REQUIRED THINGS:-
  • Threads
  • Wheat Flour
  • Black Chana(Chickpeas)
  • Kumkum & Mouli
  • Dry Grass (if possible)
  • Glass of Water

METHOD:-
  • Soak black chanas one night before and use them for (Pooja+Sabji).
  • Take head bath early morning and knead a handful of wheat flour and make Ganpati sign(Satvik).
  • One can do this pooja in temple or at home as per shown in pic.


  • In this pic, I have taken out mud 2 times.
  • First time for 13 times and keep Satvik,Kumkum,Mouli by counting 13 chanas on it.
  • Second time for 16 times and keep everything same like first,but keep 16 chanas.
  • Tie threads on your left arm by touching it to right hand.
  • Read katha over there.
  • At last with little water move this Satvik litte ahead.
  • At home, take out hyndia (offering for elders) with chanas for sasu maa.

GUGA NAVAMI or GOGA NAVAMI Pooja & Vidhi


GUGA NAVAMI is celebreated on the 9th day after RAKSHA BANDHAN or next day to JANAMASTHAMI. It is dedicated to serpent god “GUGA” and people do pooja of serpents. Pooja is performed after taking head bath and you can take head bath one day eralier if it(GUGA NAVAMI) is on Tuesday / Thursday.

This Pooja is mostly performed at ‘GUGA MADI’ (common name for old pooja place in villages) Or you can goto SHIVA temple. Due to different way of rituals depending upon the family history, it is better to consult your elders. Two of promienet ways are mentioned below -

1. First Method
  1. Make 2 plain Chappati / Roti and Keep shakkar on it.
  2. Make 5 Snakes and 5 small Diyas out of kneaded wheat flour.
  3. Take everything with you toGUGA MADI’.
  4. Keep Snakes near ‘GUGA MADI’ and put Kumkum & Coins.
  5. Pour Kacchi Lassi on ‘GUGA MADI’ and save some to bring back home.
  6. Sprinkle Lassi in all over your house.
       Ingredients you need:-
      • Wheat Flour
      • 100g Shakkar (Jagari-Powder)
      • 50g of Desi Ghee
      • Kumkum
      • Coins(2/5/10 rupees)
      • Raw milk with Water(Kacchi Lassi)
2. Second Method

In this method you can replace Chappati / Roti with Vermicilli (raw) and remaining procedure remains same.

      Ingredients you need:- same as above + 450g Vermicilli (raw)

Nag Panchami Pooja & Vidhi



Nag Panchami is a traditional day for worship of nagas or serpents among Hindus.It is celebrated on 5th day after Raksha Bandhan.

At night before nag panchami,one need to soak a handful of black chana or chickpeas.These chanas are prohibited to eat.

Ingredients you need:-

1 White sheet
2 Black pen/sketch/marker
3 White Tape (cello) and scissor
4 Mouli/khambani
5 Kumkum
6 Handful of kneaded flour
7 Raw milk/kacha dhud
8 Soaked black chana

How to do pooja:-

First one needs to take head bath.After that keep all the ingredients at the place where you have to do pooja.Now one can make nagas on paper and with kneaded flour as shown in picture.After making all this one can do pooja with chanas and last just sprikle raw milk at pooja palce and in whole house too.

At last one can take out Hyndia for sasu maa that again has to do with chanas so keep little chanas for that.
